We value the importance of play in the lives of children. Time for uninterrupted free play is and important part of a child’s day. What at first glance may look like a rather chaotic time is actually a lot of very busy children engaged in active learning and discovery.

Child development experts emphasise the importance of the formative years, between infancy and kinder age for building confidence and shaping a child’s attitudes towards learning. Naturally all parents want their children to grow and develop to their full potential. With that in mind the supportive and nurturing environment which we provide aims to prepare your child for a lifetime of learning.

We facilitate children’s learning and involvement by asking questions, making suggestions and introducing more complex materials or information to challenge your children, acting as their guides. The learning environment is shaped and activities are planned on the basis of typical child development for the appropriate age range, while allowing for individual differences. However, we keep in mind that some of the most ‘teachable moments’ are spontaneous or impromptu experiences. Our program is flexible.

Your children’s dignity is of paramount importance, and we treat them with courtesy at all times. We play and we learn but we keep in mind that the development of self-control in children is facilitated by setting clear, consistent limits and guiding them to resolve conflicts. We value mistakes as learning opportunities. We accept and comfort children, regardless of their behaviour. A healthy self-esteem is by far more important than the acquisition of specific skills. A child who feels respected and has a positive self-image has a good start as a person and a life long learner.
